As of this writing the event page is not on the MVCC website yet but should be soon, on the event calendar tab.

There is general event info on another post on this forum, and more on the MVCC forum because I can update it over there.

I think this April's Camp Plymouth will be incredible. We wished you lived closer too.

I know the MVCC Board strives to make this an event that is well attended by not charging fees for selling or for those in the public that wish to attend. It really is a great venue as well with a little for everyone.

The Military Vehicle Collectors of California has been putting on a big April event for over 40 years, always with no fees except people rent campsites or cabins from the venue, unless they are commuting from hotel or home. No table fees for amateur and pro vendors. They just rent a RV or tent campsite, or a cabin. Lots of room for merchandise. Plymouth is our fifth location. Great, scenic driving area for MVs and finally we have enough visitor parking! These meets are for all who love MVs, other military collectibles, and military history, in clubs or unaffiliated. We do this for the sake of the hobby in the West.

But these are not commercial moneymakers for us as promoter. We raise some funds at our merchandise sales tent/event HQ, at the Friday night raffle, and we sell some advertising in our kick arse 28-page monthly print newsletter, but mainly our treasury is funded by 400 memberships. The money goes back out to fund event expenses, a couple national magazine ads, but mostly to cover the print newsletter. We had to raise club dues this year to cover it, but not for our e-members who get the newsletter electronically. Interestingly we have members in 22 states! The event draws from a big area and my guess is even though they live far from California, many join and stay in to support this event and the promoter. The ones who like to buy or sell MVs enjoy the large, classified ad section in the newsletter. Members get free ad space.
