Camp Plymouth SPRING 2022 Swap Meet & MV Show April 26-30, 2022

Post by John Neuenburg » Wed Oct 13, 2021 3:50 pm

Largest annual MV meet west of the Mississippi is ON for April 2022 in the scenic California Gold Country and winemaking Shenandoah Valley area next to the quaint, historic town of Plymouth. This is in the low foothills just east of Sacramento and Lodi. We will put the detailed information on the MVCC forum so I can edit the original post.

We attract attendees from many states and several foreign countries. The closest major airport is Sacramento. For a San Francisco Bay Area airport, choose Oakland International.

For travelers who prefer to stay overnight inside our event rather than in a hotel or B&B, but are not set up for tent camping or bringing an RV or travel trailer, consider renting a RV site and having a trailer delivered, set up, and picked up. I did that last April and it worked well. I used a rental company in Sacramento - very reasonable delivery fee. Also there are two popular RV/trailer renting broker websites helping dozens of owners rent their rigs. Search in a radius around Plymouth, CA. Many will deliver.

There is some event info on the promoter's website www.MVCCNews.net in the calendar area. See the link at the top of the calendar. More will appear there in the coming weeks and months. On the Gee I'll put more on the MVCC forum than here, so I can edit it. Check it out:

It says MVCC ahead of the name but it is FAR more than a club event! Biggest in the West.

Typo on GTB flyer, it is 0900-1200 Friday. FYI the M151 Showcase is Friday 1300-1600. Barn Finds Showcase is Thursday 1300-1600. All at the practice rodeo arena at the fairgrounds just over the fence from the RV Village.

We just added something to the schedule: Willard Reproduction 6v Battery Cover Discussion Group & Display, Friday morning for an hour next to the GTB display. Meet the creator and hopefully see several MVs carrying these units (let me know if you will bring one). There is a LONG discussion about the development of these over on the WWII jeep technical forum. Search for Willard Battery Cover if interested.

Is there anyone from Colorado area heading to the meet?

I’m from Colorado Springs area, am flying out for the event.

Was wondering if anyone else from here is driving?
Selling parts there?

Did you contact JoAnn? I didn't even know there was a site to register in all the information I have read on here on how to secure a spot.
