Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anybody will be going to the show this year. I'd love to have myself and Jeep participate in the show but I am not a member of any re-enactor groups as per their rules "ALL VEHICLES MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED THROUGH A PARTICIPATING RE-ENACTOR GROUP, OR OTHER PARTICIPATING GROUP. THE MID-ATLANTIC AIR MUSEUM CANNOT ALLOW VEHICLES BELONGING TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO BE DISPLAYED AT THE EVENT. THE PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR VEHICLES IS MAY 1ST".
If anyone would be willing to let me be a part of their group It would be much appreciated. I have family that lives about a mile or so from the show so I'd be staying with them.
Thanks You,
Brad Skobel

Brad,
How is your Jeep for markings and what sort of uniform do you have? What kind of unit would you want to fall in with?

Hi Matt,
I don’t have any markings on my Jeep or a uniform. I was going grab a uniform from at the front if I knew for sure I was going to have the Jeep there. I didn’t want to spend a few hundred on a uniform for it to sit in the cedar chest.
I have gone to the show in years past and just thought it would be fun to be able to interact more with everyone that is a part of the show. Plus my son is obsessed with the Jeeps and military equipment he will go bonkers. The last time we were there he was only 9 months old.

For anyone going to WWII Weekend at the Mid Atlantic Air Museum here is some guidance on COVID requirements. I called the Museum earlier this week to ask for a clarification on COVID mask policy since Pennsylvania just changed their COVID mask policy to be in compliance with the new CDC guidance. The gentleman I spoke to at the Museum said that they just got a clarification on COVID mask policy from the TSA. Because the Museum is located on airport property it comes under the TSA’s authority. TSA policy is masks MUST BE WORN while on the airport property, even though the Museum is sectioned off from the rest of the airport for the duration of the show and it is predominantly a outdoor event. Hopefully, this policy will be changed if common sense prevails, but I wouldn’t count on it. So be prepared to wear a mask all day at Reading if you plan on attending.

Turns out the show was a big success! I guess there's a lot of pent-up excitement to get out because this was one of their busiest years ever!
Here are some photos of our outfit and some of the equipment they took this year.
