Do you know where you'll be? Are any of those being judged? I've been assigned 2 1943 MB's & a 1945 MB :)

Any after action reports?

I couldn't take my vehicles due to mechanical issues with our tow vehicle, but attended with my family. Thought the number of vehicles was great, the tracked stuff running around the dirt oval was unique, the flamethrower demo was unique. the workshops were a step above the convoy and how to paint fare. A little disorgainized, but overall, I thought it was a good convention.

They are not going to get any better unless fair and honest opinions are made to the powers that be. So I hope I'm not stepping on any toes.
Looking forward to OH and IN.

Where there any World War II Jeeps for sale there unrestored I didn't see any my only problem was you had to walk all the way around the building to get to the flea market stuff they won't let you park anywhere near it.

I had planned on going to York back 6 months ago. Things just didn't work out and I had to cancel.

So getting close to the show date I was kinda bummed out. Well things turned around as I ran into a gent not too far from me that was parting out a M37B1 and snagged a winch for my M37! Maybe it was meant to be.

This is NOT specific to the York show, but prices from vendors whom have to pay a fee are higher to compensate for that. Outside, someone did have a slat grill jeep for sale and he was taking bids on it. $16k was the last number I saw for unrestored, almost complete slat grill. It had an MBT on the rear that the seller wanted $1k for. I thought the trailer was a $600 or so trailer. But, he had two complete headlight assemblies with swivel brackets and rings and all F marked for $60 which I snagged up.
Another seller had a converto that was missing some items light ail lights and chains and nocombat rims for $1,500 which I thught was high. But it was marked sold on Saturday.
I was a little surprised byWeebee webbing and Universal tire being outside and not on the floor.
A friend stopped at a flea market next to his motel outside of town and bought me a Monarch 43 water can for $15. Several vendors at the show had 60 on water cans.
Many vendors were seling their items for their web site prices, just no shipping. Midwest Military was selling at web site prices, but if they did not have it at the show, they would ship for free.

I don't know if it was related to the convoy leaving Saturday at 1:00 or not, but with the awards dinner being moved to Friday night, Saturday morning the vendors were packing up, so Saturday was a sparse day. I thought that would be a good day for the general public to attend with families, but last workshop at 11:00 and convoy pulled at at 1:00. Maybe something contractual with the Expo center.

Weather was great. Hotels were limited. Lots of great seafood and diners.

We had our 45 MB there all weekend. It was a great show. My only complaint was that I dont think the vehicles parked in the back building, where our MB was, got the foot traffic like the ones up in the front building. It was kind of out of the way from everything else. Not blaming anyone as that was the constraints of having it at the York Fairgrounds. If people didn't get to the back building they missed out on a lot of excellent vehicles!

I wasn't able to stay for the banquet. Did you get Master Class for your restoration? You have an amazing jeep.

I was looking for that tandem setup. It not being there is probably why I forgot to look for you until I was passing through the sliver of Georgia on I-59 late Saturday night.

Was glad to attend the convention and that it was within day-trip driving distance from home. Thank you to the organizers.

Robert, or anyone else that went... did y’all see if the MBT trailers being judged had 40” long ropes on the tarps?

Anyone know who the judges were for the trailers or restored and motor pool WWII jeeps?

I was a trainee judge (under Mike Wright) on 3 Jeeps (including TJ's). While I looked at several trailers I didn't make note of the tie down rope lengths. I believe that Mike judged a trailer.
