Folks,
I just ended up with a pretty nice "VM" marked British can and wonder if anyone here has a paint code for this. It has a few minor dents I could repair but I am stumped on what color. It is still in green that looks like original.
Or maybe I should just leave that 70 year patina? Suggestions?
Thanks, Jim

Re: Paint color for 1943 British gas can
Hello guys, I know this original post is pretty detailed, but I can't get the links to work for me.
Can anyone tell me the correct color for a '43 British jerrycan? A close Rustoleum color would work (so I can buy locally and quickly), or an exact color I can look for if I ever get to go to another rally would be good as well...
I know the color is a kind of yellow, but looking for an accurate reference.
Thanks for your help,
Neal
