Some German can help needed

Post by David » Wed Oct 29, 2003 12:27 pm

As you may have noticed I have made a list of the known German jerrycan manufacturers. I want to expand that list with the years they were in business. So if you have a German can please send me the manufacturer, the year of production and if it has the "Wehrmacht" stamping by e-mail, PM or as a reply to this post. This could be very usefull information for the jerrycan website that seems to be coming of the ground due to the combined efforts on this forum.

David:
I have a "41" marked can made by "dwc".

Also, if you can find the info, it would be cool to know the name of the company the initials stand for. I would assume that dwc might stand for "Deutsch Waffen ?????" or something? If you know the name and the city it was made in that would be interesting to have for us who want to display our gear with info sheets.

Thanks,

Chuck

Skip, I received your emails OK; send you a reply with my opinion.
Chuck, thanks for the info! Is your can "Wehrmacht" marked?
Any more cans out there with stamped dates and other info?

Since it is about the very same jerrycan Skip posted about in the An Interesting theory on Jerricans topic, wouldn't you rather post your answer there?
