I just picked up two more gas cans at a farm auction. One is a 1951 the other is a 1945 Wheeling.
$1 for the 51 and $1.50 for the Wheeling
I have a customer that is a retired farmer whos hobby is auctions. I showed him what I was looking for and he buys them and brings them in.
He has gotten me 8 WW2 dated cans and 5 Korean dated cans this summer and not one was over $2.
Don't over look this source for rescueing vintage cans

Tom, thanks for posting this tip. Farm/Ranch auctions are a great resource for vintage military equipment. :wink: gary
