Post by g504 » Sat Jun 11, 2022 10:55 am

Hello.

I have an R-18 receiver but in my documentation, I can't find anything.
Can someone help me identify the receiver.
For what type of material?

My TG-5 manual STATES R-3 is used in a HS-20 headset should have checked first
This article states either one can be used R-3 or R-18 https://sites.google.com/site/scr625/Ho ... -telegraph

I will have to check my TG-5 to see which one I have

Hello Allan.

Thank you for your help.
I found.
This is an HS-32.
Technical manual TM 11-351 (Telegraph sets TG-5 AND TG-5-A) dated September 22, 1941 indicates an HS-20 headset with stock number 4A920.
Technical manual TM 11-351 (Telegraph TG-5, TG-5-A and TG-5-B) from June 1945 lists an HS-20 headset with stock number 2B832.
I find the HS-20 on the technical manual TM 11-487 but not the HS-32.
On the other hand, on SIG 5 Vol 1, page 212, under stock number 2B832, the HS-32 headset is referenced.
