BC-604-DM WWII Transmitter FS

Post by John Neuenburg » Sun Apr 26, 2020 11:31 am

I am going to list a number of WWII radios, remotes, and related items I had as spares for my armored car. Never got to working on the radios. Will post them all today hopefully. These are BC-604-DM transmitter, two BC-683-A receivers, manual TM 11-620 for SCR-608 and SCR-628 sets, two BC-605-D Interphone Amp & Parts Chests, FT-237 Mounting Tray, RM-29-A Remote Control Unit, RM-29-B Remote Control Unit, Case CS-76 for that, RM-52 and RM-53 Remote Control Units.

Here is the BC-604-DM transmitter which is part of the SCR-508, SCR-528, and AN/VRC-5 sets. Typically used in tanks, halftracks, armored cars, down to jeeps. 12 or 24 volt, this has 12 volt dynamotor. There is a way to run these on 120 volt. 20-27.9 mc. 30 watts. 10 preset freqs. This unit came from radio expert Lee Hutchins and was said to work but I never hooked it up. Selling untested, as-is. Note the extra crystals in the drawer.

1945 data plate, MFP treatment in 1951. Condition speaks for itself. Does not include the mounting tray, that is separate.

Price $400 US, possible discount with radio items posted separately.

This is what a SCR-528 or SCR-628 set looks like on the mounting. The receiver shown is not the one that matches the transmitter. This is one of the BC-683-A that will be posted elsewhere. The artillery frequency range. Also the mounting tray and BC-605-D Interphone Amp/Parts Chest will be posted.

Price now $300 firm. Thought I was going to take these to a military vehicle swap meet but didn't go, and others were cancelled.

Also the BC-683 receivers on other posts still available and lowered price.
