Signal Corps items wanted for C-47 restoration

I'm one of the team restoring C-47 42-100521 back to flight and my job is to return her to WWII configuration. I've sourced around 95% of the original radio and navigational gear but two items are proving difficult to find.

They are the BC-461 trailing reel antenna control box and the SCR-595 IFF control boxes (BC-958 and BC-965 mounted on a RC-255) with power cord and plug.







Can anybody help?

Neil: Keep watching evilbay for the antenna controller. They pop up on there every so often. Make sure you scan the European versions too. As to the other stuff, run over to Marengo and talk with the guy working with Mike Kellner on Desert Rat radios. Don't know off hand what he has in trading stock, or knowledge of.

Also keep in contact with John Seidts of Forgotten Field, and see what he has or know of.

Also Taigh Ramey of Stockton Field Museum, he's another good source.

You might want to pop an ad up on eHam.net and QRZ.com in the appropriate sections.

I've been chasing all the radio stuff for my Fairchild AT-21, and Stinson L-5B, for about 3 years now and just about have it all.

Have you guys had any luck in finding the SCR-595 IFF control boxes (BC-958 and BC-965 mounted on a RC-255)?

We are looking for the same unit for a surface ship project without much luck...
