What did I buy? Any info appreciated

Post by pvtcook » Sat May 11, 2019 2:21 pm

Guys I just bought this and was wondering exactly what it was used for? It lights up and I can hear static through the handset. What kind of antenna do I need for it? I'm not planning on using it. But would just like some info on it.

That is cool, I did not know they made an AC power supply. I assume 110V 60Hz?
That would match up well with the RT67 on my Jeep. I have the PP112 24V power supply, but it would be fun to put it on the bench to tinker with.

Just dont key it for transmit without an antenna or dummy load attached.

Here is a pretty good link with some additional information. Not me, but he has a nice setup, https://www.n6cc.com/vrc-10-rt-68-transceiver

My dad and I both have the RT-68. Dad has his running by cobbling together a homebrew power supply. I am searching for one of those PP-1175. Anyone know of one for sale?
