Post war radio paint

Post by jesse » Mon Apr 29, 2019 7:29 pm

I’m looking for a source for paint to touch up or repaint a BC-1335, or GRC-9. It is darker and more glossy than the WWII SC green. Jesse.

I just bought two RT546s; they look like 24087 to me and all our VRC12s in our tanks and jeeps were as well. Earlier radios from the 50s I have are clearly a lighter shade, like 2430 (23070).

I ordered some 23070 recently. Then I realized it was the color I painted all 5 of the vehicles I restored. Brain injuries are no fun.
