PARTS NEEDED: BC-653 & BC-669

Post by GreyWulf » Tue Jul 31, 2018 10:20 am

Hey guys,
I just picked up a BC-653 and 669 (Thanks to Thad in Bowing Green) for a good price. Both a 90% complete but the original Hammer modified them. In the 653,. they removed the PA coil and its door to install a ARC5 xmitter roller inductor. The Plate current meter above was also gone. I need all three. The power supply was also modded. The dyno plugs in the dyno bay were removed and the dyno relay removed. Again, if you have a parts donor and have these to sell or trade, drop me a line. I also need the 653's top cover. The 669 is more complete. Its a 669 D if that matters. Besides weird addition to the front panel that will mar its looks, one of its main coils is gone. Havent had time to look its name up but see the pics below. I also need the "L" brackets that attach it to its chest-mounted back. If you have these or the associated wiring, let me know. The below pics are not of mine. Got them from Bunker of doom and worthpoint.

Hi Greywulf

glad those examples are not yours they look in terrible condition. Can help you on parts but i do have a nice BC669 and can take any reference pictures you need. Ive operated the BC669 and it works well although tuning it is very tedious!
parts available on the usual place are:

RY4 relay
CD195
crystals.

good luck with the restoration, lease post pictures as you go.
