Signal Corps Stake

Post by johnseidts » Sun Jun 17, 2018 9:30 am

I have picked up some stakes, solid round ~ 2" wood painted OD, with a steel ring riveted to the top through the shaft. Marked on them is SC-C-22005, and MFR 05630. The steel ring is larger diameter than the wood shaft. The owner got them with a steel OD flag pole which he had already sold. The only thing that shows up on google search with the number is barrage balloons. I'll get photos later today. Any ideas?

It is a tether stake for a weather balloon.
