Hey Brian - that sure looks like them. Says they still do military batteries as well.
Took me some time, but I found this photo in my gallery. Unfortunately, the crate is not in my collection
So now we know the wood crate, the cardboard box and the battery itself. Wish I had time to repro the whole lot, especially if the battery could have the adaptor built into it.

Here is a wood replica of a BA 70. It looks quite good, and can be seen on this webb page, in French:

and an other example here:

Re: ba-70?
Never too late
Here attached is a pdf file with the side marking, actual size. If you print that sheet on an A4 decal for inkjet printer, it will have the correct size.
Please note that:
There are two different markings. One has the marking FRONTon battery top side. That's extremely useful.
The marking is only on the front battery side.
Pictures:
September 1944 battery by Ray-O-Vac.
One of my own batteries, from SAFT (France) .
The top marking is exactly the same as the US type except the N before BA and the 0 before 70.
No FRONT marking on top or on battery side

Re: ba-70?
I wondered if anyone finding something to make, could make these with a 3d printer, all it will be is a plastic box with lid stencilled up. Quite feasible.

Re: ba-70?
Yes, it can be done.
I have made a 3D drawing of the battery, I’m wondering how much they would ask to print the battery.
