WW2 Lensatic Compass

Post by thidisbogus » Fri Nov 26, 2021 7:48 pm

I am looking to buy a WW2 US Army Lensatic Compass. I would appreciate any advice on what to look for/not to look for as far as originals and fakes. I found an original that is dated 8/45 but has a white face. All the ones I have seen have a black face. Is this one a fake or worth buying at 40 dollars, even though the glass is a little hazy?

I need to get some advice as I think it will sell in a day or so.

The white face compass came out in 1945. So it's most likely an original.
