This example was theater-made (likely French) from brown blanket wool with a folded, burgandy (= Medical Department) wool trim as piping. Interior is unlined and has a simple brown cloth sweatband. All machine-sewn. One of several designs used by our forces overseas. Remember that this American military headgear had it's origins in WW1 and there were a multitude of early styles -- like this one. Condition is M-I-N-T (and I'm very selective about using the "M" word). If you want a pristine, 100+ year old original, this is it. Size is about a 7 which should surprise no one who collects WW1 clothing and headgear.
