Here's a salty but original WW2 USMC unit-marked Type 4 Canteen Cover for your consideration...

Depot-made Type 4 cover (cross-over flaps, funnel hole in bottom) with stenciled UNIS marking for the 25th Regiment. Shows much age, stains, wear, repairs etc. but it's R-E-A-L. Very hard to find "been there" stuff.
