Military bag of some sort, phone?

Post by Steve(WA) » Tue Oct 30, 2018 4:06 pm

Hi all... I got this a while back, no idea what it is. Not marked anywhere. Looks WW2-ish. Phone maybe?

If anyone needs it, would be glad to send it off for postage. LMK, thanks, Steve

Well there is a bag for a telegraph set TG-5 B that held a portable 6 lb unit. The bag is listed as a CS-49. This is in the GI Issue Collectors Guide under signal corps. The only difference in yours is the picture has 1 lift the dot fastener instead of 2. Same leather bottom and corner pads and strap

I sent a message to AirCorpsClerk on here. He actually has some model of remote unit, I don't know if it's the same one. He may be interested.

It has found a new home already Russ, sorry I didn't update sooner. I replied to your PM also. Thanks everyone for the ID.
