FS: WW2 USN Corpsman Items (Folding Stretcher, Bag etc.)
A few WW2 USN Medical/Corpsman-related Pieces for your consideration...
Scarce Folding Stretcher. Contract marked Superior Sleeprite Corp. N140-16074A Jan 1943 in the metal. Coated steel structure with OD#3 canvas and strap. Well marked on the canvas. Shows some minor corrosion, storage soiling and canvas pulls but overall an EXC example of the practical field stretcher seen in WW2 photos. Folds down to 45" x 9" x 4". Very similar to the Army airborne version. $150
WW2 USN Contract Field Bag . The Navy version of the USMC bag (and less common). As shown, this one has a well-marked inner side. No holes or damage, overall EXC. Inside marked BoyT 45. This bag is noteworthy in that it has some copper-brown synthetic thread used in addition to, and in combination with, the expected heavy OD#3 thread. This is NOT a restoration or surplus industry piece. Judging by WHERE this thread appears, it is certainly "factory". My guess is that it was a late-war improvement to address rot issues. Regardless, it doesn't detract. $125.
WW2 USN Multi-Purpose Bag(?). Unissued 16" x 7" x 7" rectangular, draw-string bag in OD#7 cotton canvas. $25.
WW2 Contract USN Folding Wood Cot. Factory white canvas with OD#3 web trim. Comes in the original 1945 box which has seen better days but at least preserved the unissued cot VERY nicely of the years. Stretcher bars show some warping but it assembled just fine -- as shown. There is an overall wobble when assembled that would likely go away if used or weighted down. Originally came with the mosquito net framing that was subsequently deleted from the set (per the lined-out box markings). I am including three (of four) original corner support poles just the same. Canvas is EXC and overall a great piece for a field medical display. I do not see these very often. $75.
Prices do not include postage. Please PM direct if interested. Thanks for looking!

Hi OB! Thanks for reminding me to update the listing to mention that it folds down to a (more) practical 45" x 9" x 4". I'm sure that made schlepping it on shifting volcanic beach sand "better". That said, it's all the WEIGHT of the metal-tube, rigid stretcher.
