If I remember correctly I think there was a place in Cleaveland(?) that was done up like an 8th Airforce O-club. Had sand bags stacked up on the front of the building and a few MVs parked in front of it to give it "that look". Inside was decorated in WWII memorabilia. That was back in the 1980s. I imagine that place no longer exsists (also not sure if it was Ohio. May have been NJ. It was a LONG time ago).

I know the guy who runs it. He's been trying to get a permit since forever.
Glad to see he's finally got it off the ground.

There was also a restaurant like the ones described above outside the Buffalo airport, bombed out French building, military vehicles out front, at the bar military phones you could pick up and listen to the airport traffic. It was pretty cool but I think it closed down in the 90’s.

There was also one in Nashville Tenn. called the "101st Airborne". They had a Stewart Tank, a couple of jeeps, and a DC-3 around the Restuarant. Every time we went to see the In-Laws I drove by it to look and occasionally they agreed to dinner there. It went out in the Mid to late 90's. The Stewart sat there several more years and the DC 3 even longer. All sadly is gone now.

Dave Tallichet had a whole chain of these "bomber group" or "fighter group" restaurants. He was a collector of warbirds after a career in dealing warbirds to 3rd world countries.
.I believe he sold most of his restaurants in his divorce and the ones still in business are owned by private owners. There was/is one at the Akron/canton airport that used to be his and was bought by a local guy.

To add to the list. The liberty aviation museum at Port Clinton has a diner but with limited hours

94th Aero Squadron in San Diego is still open. WW1 themed though. Good for and a great Sunday Brunch.

Glad to hear there is still a 94th Aero Squadron restaurant still open!

When a local one closed down years ago, the contents were auctioned off. I ended up buying some of what was auctioned, while a friend that went to the auction came home with a painted up airplane wing and a tail piece.
