B 10 Bomber jackets

Post by RCASSIN » Tue Nov 10, 2020 3:15 am

Anyone know if this is a trustworthy company?:

https://brosmob.com/products/stitching- ... HaEwnkyOBc

Also, can anyone recommend a company that make the B10 reproduction?

Thanks, Rob and stay safe...

I am pretty sure this is a fraudulent/fake company. The ad showed up on my Facebook feed.

Cockpit USA carries a B-10 for $380. Great workmanship -

If you're int in a B-3 I've got one for sale - price negotiable.

It's a scam. I forgot the name of the website they ripped the photos from, but the pictures of the jacket are straight from a legit retro clothing company website and the jacket there was running about twice what this site is advertising it for.

Here's the link to the B 10 jacket I mentioned - https://cockpitusa.com/collections/heri ... ght-jacket

Beautiful jacket - but $380. Guess I'm getting old - I can remember when a postage stamp was five cents. ....

Best "arisan" in Los Angeles...meant 'Artisans'

"Where Do You Get Our Clothes ?
All the apparels come from the top brands in China. So the quality, the fabric and the design have guarantee so that we can build our own reputation and offer our customers our best service."

By the way it's polyester, and painted(silk screened) patches, so authenticity is what your not paying for even if it was a legit Chinese operation.

At The Front made a run of the B-10 flight jackets about 10 years ago. I bought mine and still wear it. It is a very nice jacket. I don't see it on their site any more, but believe they still make it. If not, What Price Glory makes one for $95.00.

Bronson does make stuff of varying quality. I've not seen one of their B-10s but a pal of mine bought one of their HBT mechanic caps and it looked good.
Ironically, the best ones you can find are by Real MCoys in Asia, but they retail for more than a good original might, and they rarely ever make large sizes...

ATF hasn't made them in a while, sadly.
You're right, it's a great jacket, I was smart enough to buy one when they made them. That said, I wish they'd made them with the AAF 'meatball' as the originals were made (apparently all the 'Bandwagon of Brothers' re-enactors wanted a clean surface for their 101st patches).

Check out QMI.be for many items like that. Their quality is very good and prices are mid range.

FYI,
ATF has made another run of these but they are stuck in a sea container somewhere. Back when they did make them, they made versions with the AAF stencil and without. I don't know what is coming out in their next run, but I did get to see a competitor's jacket that a friend purchased. Based on what I saw, I would definitely wait for the ATF jacket.
