Repro uniforms
Can someone give me a lead on where I can purchase an army air corp dress uniform? I've searched the net and most everything I'm finding is field uniforms and gear.

Re: Repro uniforms
I would try What Price Glory (www.whatpriceglory.com). Army officer dress set is on sale for $385. Also see if WW2 Impressions is offering a set at the moment.
The advantage of reproduction is obvious: sizes for modern humans. Originals can be had rather cheaply as long as you're looking for something smaller than a 40R and 34 waist... The very similar early 50s versions are even less (due to the lack of interest) but still not easily found in anything above 40.
Shoes can get expensive as well. Visor hats are not scarce but pricey depending on size, version and SELLER . Most repros I've seen (still) look like junk compared to originals. Overseas hat is always an option and not as hard to find. I have matched sets of WW2 2-pc (deluxe/officer) brass uniform buttons if you go the repro. jacket route and want better buttons, as well as "U.S." devices, some rank, AAF shoulder patches etc.
Good luck!

I can't recommend WPG from my experience with them. The pants are HUGE and that's after attempting to tailor them down $$
the service shoe is impressive quality except that there is a nail that sticks up right through the bottom of one sole into the interior of the shoe

Have you tried "At The Front"? I've always had an excellent experience with them.
