Canvas Case CS-150 part of Panel Set AP-50, What is it ???
I picked up this canvas case with some other military stuff and was wondering if anybody can tell me what its or what its for, looks to be WWII and is 10" wide and 32" long with a end flap with two web straps and a web carry handle, Inside of flap is written , Instructions for field care, 1. Do not expose neon red panel to sunlight unnessery, 2. Incleaning this panel wipe with cloth or sponge soaked in gasoline or water, 3. Do not wrinkle or fold panel unnecessarly, 4. Do not wring out panel, 5. Do not use lye soap for cleaning panel.
Any help in Identifing this would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry I cant post a Pic but I can send one thru email.

Alot of these panels were affixed to vehicles no matter the type, for identification such as the germans used their flag on their vehicles on the eastern front. This becomes very evident in the documentry" ww2 in color", the color paris liberation footage shows the vehicles with them on the rear. I suspect this was a practice, used since the mistaken bombing of troops in the several normandy battles. Matt
