WTS EARLY MGC MP40 replica gun, that fires and ejects brass cap rounds (((SOLD)))
I am looking to sell, a nearly mint example of the very early MGC MP40 cap firing replica gun. This was acquired in trade around 12 years ago from a uniform collector. He purchased back in the late 60’s, and it is rather rare now because of a few features. These features are only seen in replicas that were either imported to the US very early, or were for export to other countries. Reason pertaining to this is not known, but it has a firing pin inside the chamber to penetrate early brass cartridges that held small 7mm black powder (?) caps. When they fired, sparks and smoke would exit Bbl along with the shell being ejected. The Receiver tube is the early example, in that it has no holes, or additional cuts to it, as often seen here in the states of these replicas. I’m not sure if it’s ever been fired, as it shows no signs of wear, or corrosion due to the caps or powder residue. I have some shells, and boxes of these 7mm caps….but have never tried to fire it using them. I had it as he did in my collection room, hanging on the wall. It has a Repro sling, that I believe is from Europe. If you’d like pictures please advise (Files too large to load on Forum) and I’ll email them to you. I am looking for $800 plus shipping. Jack

We can consider this as “SOLD”, unless things change. My gratitude to those that have shown interest.
