I'm sure this has been brought up before but after using the search option for about an hour I gave up.
I am curious if anybody knows of a manufacturer that sells either the side step mount or the fash mount that is suitable for occasional semi auto live fire. I have noticed on a couple of the ads it states "for display use only" has anyone fored from these mounts? Thank you.

Re: 1919 mounts
Not sure if this helps answer your question, but I have bought several cast steel reproduction sockets for mounting the vehicle pintle. They were all labeled as for display only. I welded them to pipes to make a mount and none have failed or shown cracking after testing with semi and full auto .30 cal firing. Your mileage may vary, but that's been my experience.

They make by far the best shootable mounts available , and are reasonably priced.

Thank you for the input! I found a G member who makes the side step mount that is made to fire from and will be going that route.
