Re: Canvas cover M 54 Quad Mount
I have one - the cover is a monster with lots of separate panels and likely expensive to duplicate and then there are four leather gussets for the charging handles and leather end caps for the four barrels.
I might consider loaning it to one of the super reputable canvas guys for double shipping and insurance and some $$$ for packing to the canvas guy........no cutting it apart but measurements only..... weight is about 50#

Re: Canvas cover M 54 Quad Mount
Hello, I know this is an older post, wondering if ever anything came of the discussion. Were you able to find anyone to reproduce that cover, I would be interested in one as well. I had an opportunity a couple years ago to buy one out of France and didn’t, and kick myself. Shipping was outrageous. Thank you in advance for anyReply

Re: Canvas cover M 54 Quad Mount
My canvas and custom upholstery guy here says he can make them. Multiples will be cheaper than a single because he can make pattern pieces and then sew the things together her from looking at my original.
I will haul my original to his shop next week and he will make a yardage estimate and labor cost and I'll let you guys know. Canvas will be purchased from one of the original WWII canvas suppliers in Detroit. The said theyawill make a pattern from mine and then you guys can work the deal with the Tanny Brothers. They have a reputation here in Albuq for high quality custom upholstery work on high-end sports cars etc. If their production cost is too high then no harm/no foul....they won't be out anything but the time to make the pattern and inspect my cover.

Re: Canvas cover M 54 Quad Mount
The Tanny Bros have my cover and are evaluating the piece for repro including the leather gussets. They've done Gi canvas for me for 20 years and their work is good and priced right. Once they have looked at my cover they will make one from canvas I bought from John Johnson Co. an original canvas purveyor to the US Military in WWII and who currently does the same thing for the army. You deal with them, not me; they will replace my canvas from the bolt I have stored at their shop....I'll provide their contact info after they evaluate and I'll post their comments; they are not web guys

Re: Canvas cover M 54 Quad Mount
I have dropped my original QUAD 50 canvas cover off at the Tanny Brothers Upholstery shop here in Albuquerque. They have been doing my canvas for military vehicles for more than 15 years. They expressed an interest in doing the covers and will make them like the original I loaed them. The loan is a favor to them, no quid pro quo to me. They are obtaining the canvas from JOHN JOHNSON CO in Detroit, an original purveyor of canvas to US Army in WWII.
Contact them directly if you are interested. The cover will have the correct grommets around the base and the leather gussets where the barrel and sharp points contact the cover. I can send you pictures of my original if you want to see what it looks like. Contact Jay Tanny for pricing and timing. 505-225-5580.
