FS: MINT WW2 USMC Pistol Lanyard + Mag Pouch & Nice .45 Holster

Here are a few .45 Auto items for your consideration...

Image

* USMC pattern WW2 Lanyard in MINT condition with equally nice, USMC-contract (S. Froehlich Co. 1943 marked) .45 mag pouch. If you want the best, this is it. Set for $150

* WW2 c. 1944 (undated, steel M1910 hook) .45 Auto Holster maker marked to Enger Kress. This is not an unissued example judging by the light holster wear and handling oil, but it's much nicer than what I normally see out there. $70.

Prices do not include postage. Please PM direct if interested. Thanks for looking!

Hey Jeff,
These and the other items you listed would be good to take to the Camp Plymouth Military Vehicle Show & Swap Meet in Plymouth, CA, if you will be attending. Militaria moves well there. For example there is a Japanese man with two stores in Tokyo and he keeps a van around here when he comes over for shopping trips. He attends our meets and I always sell him stuff.

Obviously heavy things like MV parts, radios, tents are good to sell at events so the buyer can avoid shipping charges.

Hi John. The Tower Park show in Lodi was a blast while it lasted but, since 2017, my annual road trip has shifted to the Louisville SOS. I can't justify the expense in time and cost on two major road trips in a year.

Camp Plymouth is the new Tower Park since 2019. Better visitor/commuter parking now. Same drive for someone in Southern AZ.

SOS is mainly a miliaria show, right? Not many military vehicles like we have? SOS must be a ton better for you to drive 50 round trip hours rather than 28. $330 more fuel cost based on 20 mpg and $4 fuel. And an extra hotel night or two? And a hotel, restaurants there there. I don't know if there is much camping at SOS. For those who camp in tents or RVs, Camp Plymouth is quite inexpensive, with free admission for those who commute from home or hotel, and no vendor fee. Sellers just have to rent a camp space and get WAY more space for their money than a commercial table show. The shows are very different.

If a commercial militaria show is the priority, SOS is probably tops in the U.S. I don't know how many MV parts are for sale there. CP is the largest annual military vehicle show West of KY.

An interesting wrinkle for militaria collectors is the West Coast Historical Militaria Show in Pomona, CA is the weekend before Camp Plymouth. A loop to hit both shows will appeal to some.
