An odd find today, is it a turret?

I found this at a garage sale today. Is it anything special, they are asking 100.00.

Looks more like a Navy deck mount of some type.

Yup that's what that is. Great use for a surplus item that kept it from being scrapped way back when. :D

It is the lower part of the oerlikon mount

I would love that for the 20mm in our museum.... Why do the garage sales around here never have cool stuff like that?
