Jeff Bartlet @ gibrass has USGI ammo in stock. There is a lot of Korean or Chinese in country right now. It looks good but I haven’t shot any. Both are in clips and bandoleers.

Yeah, .30 carbine is a double edged sword. It's a dead caliber so there won't be a run on it, on the other hand, very few guns use it so... very few places stock it to begin with.

This was an interesting little find

https://www.aguilaammo.com/wp-content/u ... elease.pdf

My understanding before things got crazy a few years ago that some major ammo makers set up one run a year for some calibers and that was it until the next production cycle so it could be in short supply. I believe 30 carbine was one of those calibers. I think currently all of that is out the window with the baby and the bathwater.

Yeah, but there are more gun shops in MT than people, so that just proves the exception, not the rule. (lol)

I remember buying the 50 round white boxes at Thrifty Drugs for 5.00 back in the 80's for my Universal lol.

Hello,

South Korean Army surplus .30 Carbine ammo made in the 1980's is reported to
be great ammunition. It was made for the US .30 M1 Carbines that the S. Korean Army has had in service since the Korean War.

It is also the best priced .30 Carbine ammo out there currently, and well, just about the only
carbine ammo available anywhere !!!
Most places are sold out of it too.

1080 rounds per case.
Non corrosive, and comes in an ammo can. (1986 military production)
I decided to get some, and it just arrived.
There seems to some sort of ammo shortage of every caliber, everywhere.
Very odd situation, and very concerning.

Best Regards,
Ray
