"Longest Serving" 39 Lavine Gear Sells at Auction.

Surfing Government Planet found this 3/4 ton pre-war Lavine Gear which sold at auction a couple of weeks ago in Springtown TX for a strong $250.00. Lunette & all the tough to find bits are gone, but the box is amazingly straight for 83 years old. Government got their monies worth out of that one. Hope who bought it knows what they got. They're out there....

Mine had a welding set up in it - not original and the lunete ring and leg device was turned UPSIDE DOWN in the front....I'm reversing that. I think I'll keep and restore the 'baby' Ben Hur and tow it around with my 1/2T Dodge carryall or the 1.5T Chevy.

Any chance you could post some pics, particularly of the lunette and landing gear, trying to get info on what that looked like on the Lavine Gear trailers
