WWII Ben Hur trailers for sale/pics added

Post by SteveG » Thu Apr 25, 2019 5:24 pm

I'm in the process of selling my WWII collection of vehicles, trailers and memorabilia. I have three of the nicest original WWII Ben trailers you can find. The 1943 Wooden Willys has beautiful wood with no soft pieces. Also has the original WWII canvas cover in beautiful condition! I don't have a lot of pics yet. The inside is full of stuff. Has complete original side boards and top bows. Nearly impossible to find one this nice, especially a wooden one!! Price is $3200. Not cheap, but when will you find a better one??

The steel trailer doesn't have a data plate and looks like it never had one, but it's a true original WWII Ben Hur trailer. This trailer is in amazing condition!!! No rust ever , so not a pit on it. Front panel was replaced years ago and there's a thread on it here on the G showing many more pics. I still have the old front panel to go with the trailer. The bed is arrow straight with just a tiny amount of a warp in the tailgate, so you have to push it a bit to close it. The floor and side panels are as new! Has original side racks and top bows, also!! Also includes original King Bee 295 reflectors! Easily one of the best original steel Ben Hur trailers out there. Price is $2700.

Third trailer is a May 1943 Ben Hur built trailer with a super nice bed, beautiful fenders and all the front hitch and wheel pieces. It isn't currently assembled, but the bed is rolling. No pitting on the bed and super straight. Original data plate and US numbers. Have the hardware for the side racks and complete original top bows. Price is $1850

Also have two new 7.50x20 tires, tubes and flaps, available separately. All trailers have WWII dated wheels to go with them.

You can probably find cheaper trailers out there, but the missing parts or condition difference mean lots of work and money to hope to get where these trailers are. Please call for more details. These are stored in my shop and I can hold them for a bit, once paid for. (559)875-0290 8-8 PST

I can post more pics soon.

Pause the restoration. Trailers like these don’t always come along at the most convenient times.....

Steve, those are NICE Ben-Hurs! Are you getting totally out of the Hobby? You have one of the cleanest, most organized, nicest shops around!

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, I'm downsizing my collection and keeping only a few bits. I'm including some more detail pics of my trailers:

Any other (semi)trailers than Ben Hurs you might sell?
