WTB FINNISH or Soviet 81/82mm BASEPLATE

Post by alpino » Fri Oct 14, 2022 6:18 am

Have an 81mm Finnish smoke thrower without a baseplate - it needs one!
I know Soviet ones will also fit
the ball is 57mm or 2.25" so a similar socket
THANKS

Hello. I am new to the site but have prowled around for information for a while now. I couldn't find an "introduction" post so I figured I'd just jump in. I live in central Pennsylvania and do not have any military vehicles, but am interested in mortars.

I went to Big Sandy this spring and was immediately struck with a need for an 81mm Finnish smoke thrower... I picked up a firing mechanism from Apex a few months ago and am now looking for a tube...

I saw Willys' post about a tube available and finally got off my butt and registered as a user. I figured it would be bad etiquette to just start sending PMs as a brand new guy, so hey Willys, I am interested in that tube. If you could shoot me a PM I'd love to hear specifics.

I look forward to being able to ask questions and some day contribute a bit of knowledge myself.
