I picked up a NOS cleaning stave set still in it's original box. The box indicates "Staff assembly" and part number C97385.
Two of the staffs have part numbers on them of B110688 and the other B110689. They are wood with steel ends about 48.5inches long and about 1-1/2 wide.
Can anyone ID what gun these are for? I could not find them in my various manuals.
Adited to add: Found the answer on another forum. They are for the American 40mm Bofors, which makes sense as the local artillery unit here was using Bofors in the air defense role back in the 80s. They do appear to be very similar to the 37mm staves as well.
