What's this shell?

Saw this at a thrift/antique store today. No writing on bottom. 16" long, 4.25" across at base. Holes are machined. 4 small indents evenly spaced near top. You can see 2 of them on either side of the price tag. Never seen anything like this before, but that's not saying much. Some sort of training piece?

You should have measured the mouth, but it’s a recoilless rifle shell. Either 3”/75mm or 105mm based on a 4.5” base.

I’d be interested, it’s definitely a good grab.

its a 75mm Recoiless the holes are so a part of the blast can port out the back of the Rifle, Putin wishes he had some!
