Perfect! Now all you have to do is build a town square around it.

Re: It finally arrived
The neighbors, who I have good relations with, were warned that it was coming. No complaints from the immediate neighbors. The front yard is a temporary location until the indoor storage location is available shortly. Sadly, someone posted the gun on a social mediate site. Less than 24 hours after arrival, the police showed up. People, apparently not from my neighborhood, started calling the mayor. I reside in one of the Nazi states. One of my neighbor's children, now an adult with a family of her own, was one of my staunchest defenders on the social mediate site. This is the closest that I come to social media, so I did not respond in my own defense. Rough estimate is that about 98% of the post social media post were positive. Angriest person appears to be my spouse, but she is always angry. I look back at that moment when I was in the Army, and I experienced that need for additional responsibility. I had a decision to make, get a dog or get married. I should have got the dog. The dog would be gone. The wife lingers on.
The gun just arrived from Europe. Destroyed to ATF regulation. I do intend to eventually restore the piece. I do not know if I will make it a live firing piece again or not, with ATF approval.

I wish I could find the FB group to read the comments haha! I searched around a bit using some keywords and no luck.

Re: It finally arrived
Looking for 'likes' on social media is like looking for love in all the wrong places.
Otherwise, I guess some folks just desperately need a hobby....and as you surmised....they probably also need a dog....
and play doh....
and apparently, a safe space.
And I might add, that's a nice lookin' place you have there.
Merry Christmas!

Owning artillery is really just a progression of our collecting military vehicles or machineguns and the like. You will have so much fun learning about the gun and all it's various aspects. Making it a live DD is another level of fun. and those of us with a similar affliction can offer their knowledge. A fellow cannnoneer with much more time and experience once said, "Nothing about guns gets me going like one that takes two hands to load."

Re: It finally arrived
Once after a New Years, a County Codes Compliance guy showed up about a complaint regarding one of my cannon pointing toward a neighbors house. Cant figure why a LEO wouldn't have been called instead, but I asked him which one? As I walked him around from the front driveway piece, to the side yard piece. Two in the backyard pointing other directions and the other side where I had another two. Every direction had something pointing out....
He informed me he saw no issues, and they get these complaints as NewYears resolutions from busy bodies and departed. (80+ year old woman across the street...)
Since then I built storage facilities and culled a few pieces.
Enjoy it, look for parts, and if you need 105 spent blank cases, let me know.
