M6 37mm sleigh back from the machine shop - FS

Post by DaninNM » Tue Aug 14, 2018 7:35 am

boremax asked FIRST (many months ago) SO I SENT HIM AN EMAIL OFFERING IT FOR SALE THERE FIRST......If he does not want it or need it, it will be for sale here in a few days. This M6 sleigh was whacked on the back edge of the 'track' in an attempt to remove it from the recoil cylinder (not by me!!!!). Not sure why it was whacked there but that's the way I bought it. The very last 1/4" was obviously hammered on and would no go on the track part of the recoil cylinder. The machine shop trued up the back edge and then manufactured a hardened tool steel plate to check the trueness (sp?) of the rail grooves. There were true and no work was done on those. The back edge was trimmed to the original contour and I got it back....after months of waiting for the work. They said they had a 6 month backlog of work!!!!
pics available later this evening.
