Anyone know of a source for the 7.50X20 tires used on the CCKW's and possibly other vehicles. "STA" said theirs were on indefinite backorder. "Coker Tire" keeps pushing back their delivery date. I ordered one from them in September and when I last checked they say MAYBE the end of January. But since they have pushed back the intended delivery date two times already I'm not holding my breath. I contacted another lesser known military tread tire company but they said NO 7.50X20 in the near future. I can't remember what that company was but it might have been Michell(?).
Any ideas?

Re: 7.50X20 CCKW tires
I ordered a set of 7.50 x 20's back in June from JEGS. They are the Coker's. They just came last week, and I heard a few others recently received their back ordered 7.50 x 20 Coker's last week as well. May have broke the log jam. Of course, they're up $50 per tire since I ordered in June. Now I believe they are $388 per tire. Two of my tires came with a flap like they usually do. I think the other's fell out along the route for delivery. I think I'll call JEGS and see if they can replace. Good luck!Hammerhead wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:46 amAnyone know of a source for the 7.50X20 tires used on the CCKW's and possibly other vehicles. "STA" said theirs were on indefinite backorder. Great. Hopefully the backorder backlog will be worked thru in the next few weeks.

If you don’t care about the tires being military NDTs, Priority tire just got an order of Nutech highway tread 10ply 7.50-20s. $218 with free shipping. They would look ok on front axles, or trailers. NDTs look the best but nearly 400 a piece adds up fast.

Remember that the rears are in 8wd. The tires that it rides on on both axles must be matched. I use older worn ones on the inside, but use a matched set on the outer positions
On a flat surface, with warm tires and gear oil, you should be able to push your cckw with the xfer in neutral. Yes, you can push it by yourself very slowly.
Do not rotate tires. Just keep replacing the fronts.
