Does cowl vent have rubber?

My cowl vent does not have rubber to avoid rain water.I would like to know if it has rubber.Thanks in advance.

I asked why water got into my gear box even though I had that protective hood on the lever. I noticed that there was some suspicion because tiny stems from a tree where I leave the truck underneath fell and these after falling into the hood window without this rubber I am referring to they go to the floor next to the lid of the box. I was thinking if it was the water, it could also make the same path.

There is a catch reservoir around the vent. It drains through a pipe through the dash and into the engine compartment. There is a hose that connects this all together under the dash. If it’s missing the water will drain into the cab.

Jesse, I put the rubber with 3M glue for gaskets in the outermost channel that the cover tightens the rubber when closing. The innermost channel has some holes and I will check if there is a sleeve connecting to the engine compartment. Am I right?
