need help with US6 ID info

Post by bobc » Tue Jun 04, 2019 5:06 pm

I have this Studebaker that is going away but I am having an abandoned vehicle inspection done because I didn't get a title when I bought it,but I can't tell what the digits are supposed to be! The 6 in the US6 has a little curl to the top leg,but the other digits in the ID number don't,are they lower case 'b's? Image

I see what you are referring to but I believe those are 6's. I've never heard of or seen any manufacturer use lower case letters in a serial number.
