Whose carb is it?

I was told this came from Studebaker US, but I have doubts..

numbers on it: CF36-0/12250

Looks like one there were 2 types.
The early production us6 trucks used the Carter bbr1 429s carby.
Sometime in the late 1943 or early 44 it changed to the Carter bbr1 565 s carby.
Yours appears to look like the 429s.
My Stude us6 has the 565s.
that's my understanding of it somebody out there may shed some more light on it.

Correct, early carb used clamp on air cleaner, later used standardised cleaner with four bolt mounting.
This carb could quite possibly be a 429.
