Rockwell Axles Specifications needed -help!

Hello,

In an effort to get my 969 Wrecker registered, I am being asked to provide a level of specifications that I can't find, if it still exists.
Can anyone point me to the load ratings for the axles used in the 969 Wrecker, please?
I can't find it in any of the TMs I have, a couple of hours on the internet has yielded a few data tables, none with the needed axles listed and forum posts elsewhere have not been productive.
I have learned a few things, but none that will keep the authorities happy.

The axle models are F-2090(front) and SFD-154 (rear) and are a Rockwell product.

The TM lists them as a Timken product, not correct. They used Timken bearings originally from what I understand.
Still sniffing around web pages for Rockwell, but it is mostly automation stuff nowadays.

Help needed, please.

I can't even find a Rockwell automotive presence in USA, they've packed up and moved to India.

Surely someone has copies of old Rockwell product literature that mentions ratings?

Thanks John,
I had seen that document before, but dismissed it as it only went back to the SFDD family of axles.
I now know that the difference between the SFD and SFDD is only the power divider.
So I was able to use its' codes to rate the tandem at a whopping 29 imp.tons!
It would be good to be able to confirm that elsewhere.

Still looking for the F2090 rating.

Hi John,

That looks like the famous road train that operated in NT in the 1950s.
It is a Diamond T 980 which is a diesel powered 6x4 tank transporter produced mainly for the allied forces of WW2.
Maximum speed was about 25MPH, which would have made for long days on the endless stretches of outback roads.

An update on my preparations to have the 969 registered:
I'm told that the SFD and SFDD diffs are completely different with very little that is interchangeable. The SFDD were completely re-engineered to overcome problems with the SFD diffs, as well as to add the power divider.
Anyway, it seems that the regulator that is asking all this detail, the NHVR, is not actually applicable to the process of registering my 969 on historic rego. Seems I've been thrown a curve ball by some incorrect and contradictory documents from TMR(Qld). So, I have a small issue with the GVM to sort out, then I can front the TMR with all the paperwork and see what happens.
I'm told that before the 1970s, trucks did not have a GVM, from a rego point of view. So I don't need it now. Hope so. If I need to, I'll use a reasonable best-guess, it'll be 16ton = 8ton tare + (2x4)ton load rating. 4ton is the original off-road rating which is half the on-road rating.

We'll see.

One of my last jobs @ 2 Base Wksp before discharge was replacing a clutch in one of these tank transporters. The hatch in the roof came in very handy!

Suggest you might check pics, as I was doing when I found the road train, for vehicles with the info you need painted on the side in 3 lines. Was often done in the UK/Canada & I even saw it on some service vehicles here.
