1945 CCKW For Sale ****SOLD****

Post by zippog506 » Tue Aug 14, 2018 7:07 pm

All original, excellent condition. Good metal, absolutely no rust, original wood floor, canvas doors included. Stops, starts, runs very well. Transmission in good condition, does not pop out of gear. Vehicle birth date was April/May of 1945, was supposedly sitting on a pier in New Jersey when the war ended. In 1952, the vehicle was re-arsenaled (tag on the overhead), M-series ignition switch and electric wipers were installed professionally, and shipped to Belgium by the Army. Was in Belgium until the late 70's when purchased by a gentleman from eastern Canada, then purchased by another gentleman in western Canada, and then migrated to the U.S. after it was purchased in 2000 by a gentleman from California. He later moved from California to Washington, where I then purchased from him in 2015. Asking price is $9500 firm.

I have seen this truck in person and I can say with certainty, that this Jimmy IS in fine condition AND worth every penny of the asking price.

Hello,

This truck is priced right and looks great in the pictures !
If the tires are fairly new, and they look pretty good, that is almost a third of the price, with tubes, and mounting etc !!

Good luck with the sale !!!!!

Best regards,

Ray

Thank you Ray, all of the tires are in excellent shape, the spare has never seen pavement. Still has the center seam on the tread.

Wow, what a great price! Anyone looking to buy a CCKW better jump on that! I paid just 2000 less than that for an unrestored CCKW and then spent a LOT more than that restoring it! I love my CCKW but someone is going to get a great bargain with this one!

****SOLD****

Thank you to all interested parties who inquired about this vehicle, and the kind comments left by viewers. Happy to announce the vehicle sold locally and is going to a good garaged home. Sad to see it go, but enjoyed it immensely in the time I had it.

Thank you again, Dave
