Check out the third image in the link below. The trucks on the train cars look like CCKW's but with a civilian-like front end. I have seen other media of the 1941 Louisiana Maneuvers that had Dodge VC trucks, but never noticed the 2 1/2 ton trucks before. Anyone have any details on Jimmy's Papa?

Those are 1939-40 ACKWX-353 model trucks. Most if not all, saw stateside service during the war. Most were used by the reserves and national guard after the war. The French ordered a bunch of them with different wheelbases, but after their defeat, they were rerouted to the British who used them. I personally love this civi. look over the military style.

Thanks, that 1939-40 ACKWX-353 model really flew under the radar for me. Nice looking rig. Evidently not too many were produced as I have never seen a survivor.
