Hi Bud
Yes I know what you mean about removing the transmission it is not that easy but at the end of the day it maybe the only out come I was just thinking a bit more about it and maybe the tension on the fingers in the pressure plate have relaxed I had this problem with a Jeep once I know they are a different type of pressure plate but that could also be the problem and you dont know if the flywheel has been machined past its life either of the clutch plate is on its last legs
I hate to say this but I think the only option is to pull the transmission out and have a good look at the whole lot
Cheers
Shane

Re: Working on the Studebaker Long Road Almost Done
Just wanted to give an update on Phantom.
She is about to get a new correct bed installed on her by the end of this year.
Also going to be replacing the rear rear axle gear assembly as she is now producing metal in the oil.
Shes still going strong all this time.
Ken

Hi Shane and Ken - just after some advice - is there an easy way to replace the seal behind the handbrake drum at the back of the transfer case?
Looks like I might have to pull off the the handbrake support part to knock the seal in - but this has a couple of what seem like inaccessable pins in it
your thoughts?
