When I bought mine 2-44 Banjo CCKW,had another together(split 43) in a brick factory. In that opportunity I did not notice that exist the dates in the wheels. When I saw I already selected all 44 and deleted the 43.

And that photo is typical of how many of the excellent CCKW restorations got their start.

When's the last time you lubricated your Rear Spring Seat (Trunion) Bearings?

CCKW Motor Stables today. Thanks to good training by Uncle Sam, every one of my restored MV's start instantly and are 100%roadworthy. The CCKW tank has nearly 40 gallons of last years gas (with preservative) it's going to be fun using up all that old fuel. The fuel is spiked with CD-2 Lead Substitute and a winter preservative. The 500 foot steep uphill run on the governor in first gear out of my driveway will clear the CCKW's tonsils  coming back down will exercise the hydrovac and brakes. DOT 5 is in the system it was installed along with all new master and wheel cylinders. Will flush the crud with the GI bleeder before the Memorial Day Parade, this is a 3 year half hour ritual as moisture does get in DOT 5 Brake systems no matter what they say.

Durable Jones is my right hand man. He can be contacted at Vintage Video. Buy the films, enjoy the early CCKW closeups of the trucks features, listen to the maintenance tips, your CCKW will stand tall and with a little PM effort will have few problems.

We never hear about CCKW trunnion bearings, they are the most neglected feature on a CCKW.

Brakes locking up when first starting your GMC after installing a new Series 3 Hydrovac?
Just remove the Valve from your Master Cylinder.
