Unknown Brush Guard.
I think this brush guard is for the GMC Cab over Cargo Truck W.W. 2, but I don't know. Can anyone give some insight to which truck it mounts too?

Looks alot like the Dodge brush guards. Mack's has a tall center over the radiator. I dont think it's off a medium or heavy duty truck. Looks like a light truck such as what Dodge made.

It is for sale near me. I haven't been able to find my vehicle spotters guide to make a comparison. I am thinking that it belonged on a cab-over type truck, but again I don't know. The guy wants $100.00 for it and doesn't want to mess with shipping.

I don't know what it is either other than its not dodge.
If its really straight and not totally rust eaten, so it could be cleaned up with sandblasting, it would make a neat wall hanger until you can identify it. Without being able to I.D. it, he might wiggle a bit on the price for a local buyer. $100 isn't bad for a nice grille guard in my opinion. Assuming you have $100 to play with.

Re: Unknown Brush Guard.
I'm not so sure Joe. The top of the brush guard in the picture is a bit taller than the headlight guards in comparison to the one for sale. AND gyknot, I have spoken to the seller and he won't budge a cent. He told me that he found it at a swap meet somewhere near Gig Harbor. My guess is that he paid less than $25.00 for it because the one who had it didn't know what it was for either.
I have the money to grab it, but then again, I am not in the practice these days of just throwing a hundred bux on the ground without good reason. Ya know?!

Re: Unknown Brush Guard.
I agree its not production IHC. But, it sure looks alot like the prototype IHC 1/2 ton in the U.S. military wheeled vehicles book on page 232. Hard to believe a brush guard survived of it, or if they even built more than one.
I can't find anything else with the same shape.
Too bad as I collect IHC stuff too if it is.

Re: Unknown Brush Guard.
Can you post a copy of that picture gyknot? I don't have the book you're talking about.

I'll try but not sure I can post on this forum. I can email it to you if it doesn't show up. Not a good picture and taking a picture of a picture doesn't usually help any.

Re: Unknown Brush Guard.
Thanks for the photo gyknot, but they don't match. The light guard sides in your picture have three shorter vertical bars in them as well as the tic-tac-toe pattern. Watch it turn out to what Chevy43 suggested.
Everyone gave some really good guesses, but I'm still not going to throw away one hundred dollars. Especially when there isn't a truck behind it.
