Composite bed wood

Post by Zuke » Fri Nov 26, 2021 4:13 pm

Hello all I’m in need of all the wood that is associated with the bed other than troop seats bows and flooring. I’m in search of a complete set or drawings so I can make them myself. Thank all of you for any help

Sorry for the late response , it’s a 43 G506 7107. I’m interested in the underneath the composite bed the wood that sets on top of the frame rails at the rear that has the spacer blocks for the hold down bolts and has brackets that are riveted to the rear underneath the toolbox that have bolts that go through the wood. Also the front of the bed where the sway support sprigs install in the channel that has short wood blocks inside the square channels. I Aldo need to know the correct front mud flap wood that the bracket arms mount to. I’m in the process of taking it all apart now hopefully to be able to use what is still in place and only missing a couple of blocks to use for a Chinese blueprint, but it’ll be a challenge to get all of the hardware out without damaging the original wood. If you have plans for these units or able to tell me what the factory drawings were for this bed system I would be glad to pay for them. The composite bed was made by budd. Thank You

My G506 cargo truck has the all wood bed so I don't think I can help with wood dimensions for a composite model.
