Re: Wtb g506 tailgate
I'm not trying to anything other than ask a simple question. "How will the new V.o.V be able to reproduce things like the G-506 tailgate with the same speed and price that Bob Muller and Tom Deinst offered, when the webpage is so quiet?"
I have been able to source parts and pieces from other folks on the internet with much greater speed and accessibility. I bought the composite bed from Newc and will have it here soon, I fully intend to find out exactly how much a repro tailgate would cost to make. Just sayin'.

Re: Wtb g506 tailgate
I have dealt with the father and son team that purchased VOV. Really great guys. The draw back is that they are running VOV as a side business. They both have a lot of stuff going on in their lives. Bryant sent me an email not long ago advising that he was back in school full time. Bryant wanted to let me know that he is still processing orders but that school was his priority. I totally understand and hope everyone else understands. As for repro parts. The parts that were on hand when the Borough's purchased the company from Tom are probably the last repro body parts you will see. From what I understand, the company that VOV used in New York to make the repro body parts raised their prices something like 300%. I know a fantastic fabricator and am happy to put anyone that is interested in contact with the guy. If anyone is looking for G508 or G506 mud flaps, there is a guy in Oregon reproducing them. I saw his mud flaps and they are accurate. I also believe the VOV may still have a few left but and not 100% sure.

Re: Wtb g506 tailgate
I'll have to agree with Dave, VOV has been super hard to get ahold of. Several times I've revieved no response. Dave is going to help me get a repo tailgate made out of one of his examples. In the mean time I'm still in the market for an original.
