Had the AFKX "G" number wrong, they were G057,G058, and G059.

So definitely a different breed of War Horse.

I also found other AFKX's on the list G072, G082,G083, and G084.

Well I think I found a new book topic for you guys to document...AFKX!

Ok, sorry to get off topic...back to the G506 book.

No book arrival yet..

Are they coming USPS, UPS, FedEx or other?

Sometimes I see unmarked cars for Amazon deliveries, but I don't recall hearing any knocks last night.

USPS Priority. You should have received a tracking number. It shows delivery today. I will send an email tracking shortly.

Thanks, Patrick

Hoo-rah!!!

I got my copy, and it is a wealth of information If you have ever wondered about the history of the G506 this book is for you!

Bravo Zulu to all parties involved with this Outstanding publication!

This publication is a compilation of such a vast amount of forgotten information and details. The Old Timers that layed hands on the G506 during assembly would be proud! I see that there has been thousands of collective labor hours spent on this team effort and this new book created by them has brought great credit to themselves and their publishers. Without the hard work of the whole team this book would not be possible.

Keep up the great work!

I received my book on Friday, and I spent a lot of time avoiding chores over the weekend so I could look the book over. :D Great job, and many thanks to David Doyle and crew for putting this book together. Anybody who is even remotely interested in these Chevy's should have this book in their collection.

Just got my book last nite. Delayed delivery on account of 12" of snow. Went through the book till about 3 this morning. Great pictures all, especially the early production factory photos. Will be going thru this for months and still discovering new info. Thank you to Patrick, and David. It is 7 years well spent. Thanks for a perfect addition to my G506 library. Nothing will top this. Sincerely, Dave C.

Well, I'm in the ring too boys. My copy arrived at my place of employment on Tues. earlier this week, but I didn't get it until today. I had it sent to work to avoid the possibility of it being hijacked from my front porch by a pirate. We are soooooo slammed with work they forgot it had arrived and tell me. I will be going through it sometime this weekend. :)
While we are on the subject of Chevy books. Does anyone have the little publication from TankoGrad on the G-506? Zippog506 gave me a copy and it is pretty good. Thanks again Dave. OH YEAH, when are WE gonna do the brakes on your Chevy. It is still winter here, which means indoor work is still authorized.......... Let me know. :)

David sure hit a "Home Run" on this one. Out of this world photos that make you feel as if you have picked up a time machine and are standing there beside the trucks in the photos.
All the above after opening the package and just 5 minutes of browsing.

Got my copy and can't put it down . I have seen a lot of photos of our beloved Chevy but the book is full of new ones !! I really enjoy learning new information like the story of why there are no open top cabs.

Always amazed what information David finds and there is LOTS of it in this book and LOTS of pictures.
If you are restoring one of these trucks you have to have this book.
David and Patrick job well done !
